How many pieces perform with The Heartbeats?
The Heartbeats perform as ten-piece orchestra.
With their state of the art equipment, the band can perform in any size room, and can set up in any size space provided.

What is the instrumentation of The Heartbeats?
Up to eight lead vocalist (male & female), guitar, keyboards, bass, drums, Latin percussion, saxophone, trumpet, trombone & flute. Specialty musicians (harpist, violinist etc.) can be added by request.

Will the musicians I see at a public appearance or showcase, be the same
as the musicians that perform at my event?

The Heartbeats are a full time "Set Band". What this means is the same musicians perform at every event (depending on the size of the band you choose) whether it be a Wedding Reception, Corporate Event, Bar or Bat Mitzvah, Casino or Nightclub. We do not mix and match musicians like some orchestras. This guarantees the sound of The Heartbeats will always be professional and well rehearsed.

What do you offer for the cocktail hour?
Cocktail hour can consist of a pianist, duo, trio or even a full specialty band (Island band, Irish band etc.) depending on your needs. String ensembles & harpist are also available by request.

Do you offer musicians for the ceremony?
Musicians and Vocalists are available for the ceremony (organists, flutists, trumpeters etc.) based on your needs. String ensembles, harpists and other specialty musicians are also available by request.

What styles of music do The Heartbeats Perform?
The Heartbeats are an extremely versatile orchestra. They perform all styles of music ranging from the forties Big Band Era to Today's Most Popular Hits. You have the option to select the styles of music to create the atmosphere of your event. Our Song List is updated weekly as we add songs old and new. What type of music will be played during the dinner hour?

From light jazz standards to Sinatra, you have the option to choose. The music will be performed at a comfortable volume level to ensure you and your guest can hold a conversation while dining.

Would the band learn a specific song for me?
If you do not see a special song you would like played on our list, we will learn it for you. We ask you to provide us with a CD or Cassette (if available) of the song four weeks prior to your event.

Do The Heartbeats perform ethnic music?
The Heartbeats perform all types of ethnic selections from Horahs to Polkas.

Do you provide continuous music?
The Heartbeats provide continuous music from the start of the cocktail hour to the last dance of the evening.

How far will The Heartbeats travel?
Based in Philadelphia Pennsylvania, The Heartbeats have performed from the Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey, New York areas to Washington, Virginia and beyond. The band also performs in Florida and Bermuda (Celebrity Cruise Lines). We will travel as far as your budget will allow.

What are your fees?
There are many factors that determine the fee for an event, such as date, time, location etc.
Pricing can range from $5000.00 to $10,000,00 and beyond..

What is your payment schedule?
A 25% deposit is due at the execution of the contract. A second 25% deposit is due 3 months after the executed contract. The final 50% balance is due one week prior to your event.

How much space do The Heartbeats require to perform?
An area 20ft. long by 10ft. deep is perfect. But the band can perform in a smaller area if required.

What are your electrical requirements?
Two separate 20 amp outlets.

What do The Heartbeats wear?
For formal events, the band wears black tuxedos. Females are always in gowns. For non- formal events attire can vary.

Do The Heartbeats provide lighting?
The Heartbeats provide intelligent lighting for the stage area and dance floor.

What happens if a band member becomes ill the day of my event?
If an unforeseen sickness arises, First Class Entertainment will replace the musician with one of equal talent. The Heartbeats have never canceled a performance do to illness since their inception in 1990.
