The Heartbeats perform as an 10-piece band, accompanied by professional sound, lighting, and video technicians. A total of 13 team members are on-site to ensure every event runs smoothly.What is the instrumentation of The Heartbeats? The Heartbeats feature 9 male and female lead vocalists, along with guitar, keyboards, bass, drums, latin percussion, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, and flute.
Will the musicians I see at a public performance be the same musicians at my event?
Yes. The Heartbeats are a true full-time set band, meaning the same musicians perform together at every event—whether it's a wedding, corporate event, Bar or Bat Mitzvah, casino, nightclub, festival, or concert. What do you offer for cocktail hour?
Cocktail hour entertainment can be customized to fit your event. Options include: solo pianist, piano and saxophone duo jazz trio Acoustic duo, full jazz ensemble, steel drum band, string ensemble and harpist. Other specialty musicians can be provided upon request
Do you provide musicians for wedding ceremonies?
Yes. We offer ceremony musicians and vocalists including keyboardist, flutists, trumpeters, string ensembles, harpists and solo vocalists. We can help create the perfect musical atmosphere for your ceremony.
What styles of music do The Heartbeats perform?
The Heartbeats are one of the region's most versatile party bands, performing everything from the Big Band Era through today's biggest hits.Our repertoire includes Big Band, Swing, Motown, Classic Rock, Disco, Funk, Pop, Country, R&B and Top 40. Our song list is updated regularly, allowing us to keep our performances fresh while offering timeless classics your guests will love.
What music is performed during dinner?
Dinner music is tailored to the atmosphere you want to create. Whether you prefer elegant standards by Sinatra, contemporary acoustic selections, jazz, or light pop, the music is always performed at a comfortable volume so your guests can enjoy conversation while dining.
Will the band learn a special song?
Absolutely.If your special song isn't already on our song list, we'll gladly learn it for your event at no additional charge. We simply ask that you provide the recording at least four weeks prior to your event.
Do The Heartbeats perform ethnic songs?
Yes. Our extensive repertoire includes many ethnic and cultural selections, and we are happy to discuss your specific musical traditions and requests.
Do you provide continuous music?
Yes.From the beginning of your ceremony or cocktail hour until the final dance.
The Heartbeats provide continuous entertainment. During our meal break, professionally mixed recorded music keeps the energy flowing so there is never silence on the dance floor.
How far do The Heartbeats travel?
With offices in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Blackwood, New Jersey, and Estero, Florida, The Heartbeats perform throughout the United States and internationally. Past performances have included, Puerto Rico, The Dominican Republic and Bermuda.We are happy to travel wherever your event takes us.
What are your fees?
Every event is unique. Pricing depends on several factors including, date, location, performance time, production requirements and event length. Most events range between $5,000 and $20,000, although larger productions may exceed that range. Please contact us for a customized quote.
What is your payment schedule?
Our standard payment schedule is 25% deposit at the execution of the contract. A second 25% payment due three months after the contract is executed. The final 50% balance due one week prior to the event date. Deposits are non-refundable.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept, cash personal and business checks, Zelle, Venmo, Paypal and all major credit cards.
How much space does the band require?
An area approximately 20 feet wide by 10 feet deep is ideal. However, our modern sound system and compact production equipment allow us to perform comfortably in venues of many different sizes.
What are your electrical requirements?
Depending on the production package selected, The Heartbeats require 2 to 5 separate dedicated 20-amp electrical circuits. We'll coordinate all technical requirements with your venue well before your event
What does the band wear?
For formal events, the band performs in elegant black tuxedos, while our female performers wear formal gowns. For more casual events, attire can be customized to match the style and theme of your celebration.
Do The Heartbeats provide lighting?
Yes. Every performance includes professional intelligent LED stage and dance floor lighting.Additional enhancements are also available, including LED uplighting, pin spotting, and monogram projection. Custom production packages
How many breaks does the band take?
During a typical five-hour event, The Heartbeats take one 20-minute meal break, usually during the service of the main course.Professionally selected recorded music continues throughout the break, ensuring there is no interruption in entertainment.
What happens if a band member becomes ill?
Although this situation is extremely rare, The Heartbeats maintain a network of highly qualified professional musicians. If a performer becomes unexpectedly ill or is unable to perform due to an emergency, we will provide a replacement musician of equal caliber whenever possible. Since our founding in 1990, The Heartbeats have never canceled a performance due to musician illness.
